Drills, Clay & More Clay

My friend Sherry came over this morning to help me drill holes in the buckets for the tablescape centerpiece. Afterwards, I went to Mrs. Millie's house to make some clay figurines. Mrs. Millie is really great at that. She makes the cutest figurines ever! They are fun to make. When Mana got home, we cleaned up her room a little bit so her friends could come over and actually be able to walk around! Mrs. Millie came over and we made more clay figurines. Sherry and her kids came over also! The kids had a great time. I think the adults had an even greater time! Making clay figurines is really fun!

Mana's audition is in the morning! Be in prayer for her to do well and to remember all Ms. Jamie taught her!

Christmas Shirts, Eyes & Ballet

Thursday was a busy and fun filled day! That morning, Mana's class painted their class Christmas shirts. They will have red presents on the front with green ribbon. I went to Wal-Mart for grocery shopping. Then after I picked up Mana from school, I went back to Wal-Mart for her eye appointment. Her eyes got a little worse. She was going to get the same cheetah frames again, but decided on a pink pair instead. They look cute on her also. We then went home. Did homework. Then went to ballet. I took her class picture for the Christmas program next week. They looked fine on the camera viewer, but when I got them on my computer they looked out of focus. I was a little disappointed.

Embarrassing!!

I just sent an email to a friend of mine. I mistyped one letter and did not catch it!! All I have to say is... it was bad! I went back to check if I wrote something and when I reread it, I found the word. Embarrassing! I think I turned fifteen shades of red!!! Then, if that wasn't bad enough...the next sentence was "So Fun!" I recheck the blogs several times before posting. I usually do not in emails. I guess I better!

Finishing Touches, Monologue & Another Sneak Peek

Now, I need to stop going shopping!! I did find some key items to put the finishing touches on the tablescape! I also found two more placemats! Now, I can have 8 places!! So, so excited! My friend, Millie and I got together tonight to talk over the plan for the tablescape. Millie is always the one that helps me! She is very creative herself! She makes the cutest clay figurines. She has helped with several of my projects the past three years! It is fun working with her on things!

After church tonight, my friend Jamie helped Mana with her monologue. Her audition is Saturday morning! I think she did really well. Jamie said she did a great job. Jamie let her run through it first and then made suggestions on how to make a few spots better. She works well with Mana. Mana listens to her better then she does me. Especially when we are trying to make suggestions on her performance. She did do better with me this time compared to last time. I am proud of her. She has worked hard on getting the lines memorized! Keep your figures crossed on her getting a part!!

Joy, Joy, & More Joy

I went shopping today!! I found all kinds of pretty things for my tablescape!! I am so excited! (Not excited about the money I spent! I always go a little overboard!) Really excited that I found everything I was looking for!!! I am so ready to get started on the millions of things I am now going to make to bring it all together! I usually try to get my placemats at Dollar Tree. It is hard to find enough for eight people. I found 5! I had to call six stores to find 1 more. I will have six places at my table instead of eight, unless I can find two more! My wonderful Mother-in-law picked up the one for me since that store was across town! Thanks GranMary!!!!! I can't wait to see it all come together! I am also looking forward to seeing what everyone else has come up with!!

December, the Foundry & Art Class

I look forward through the days in December and I am getting overly packed with things to do. I know everyone else is also. My packed weekend is the 13th! It would be alright if I just knew exactly what I was going to do on that day. I have three, possibly four, things that have fallen on that weekend. One, the women's event is that morning. Two, my niece's birthday party is that afternoon. Third, if Mana gets a part in a play she is auditioning for, the first read through and meet the cast members meeting is that day! I will not know that until the weekend of the 6th. It makes it hard not knowing how to schedule out that day! Fourth, that Sunday is the Christmas program at our church. Mana is suppose to be in it. The children's choir is going to sing in it. Due to several things happening over the past weeks, she has not been to practice. I guess that is good, since she has now chosen to spend the night with the cousins on that Saturday. I seem to never be able to go to the church programs during the holidays. I can not be in two places at the same time. I do not get to see my family very often, so I go when I can.

Today I went to the Foundry. I have never been there before. I was looking for anything to help with the table scape I am putting together for the women's event at church. I have mentioned that I might not be able to attend the event. Since I am on the Women's Committee, I am responsible for a table or to get someone to do a table. I was looking forward to doing one and have not been able to come up with one single idea that I liked. When all the stuff fell on that day, I was hoping they would have enough tables and I would not have to do one. I really didn't see how I could. I figured I might as well just do one since it was only two weeks away. I would feel bad to ask someone to do a table with only two weeks to prepare and so close to Christmas. I have been dreading the very thing I enjoy doing. Sad! I found the sweetest white tea cups and saucer sets at the Foundry! I also went to Cindy's house to let her borrow my point and shoot and she had the cutest plant holder in her driveway! Now I am excited! I have my idea and am so looking forward to getting it all together, even with only two weeks left! I may have to miss the event, but I will be there is spirit! Who knows, I maybe able to do all three things on that one day! Wishful Thinking! LOL! Boy, would I be tired!

My art students came over tonight. One finished her project. One started on a project. One missed art class. (CJ!) Mana wanted her friends to come over and do art also. I called and they came over. We were all stuffed in my kitchen like sardines! They didn't seem to mind. I think Mana really enjoyed getting to do art tonight!
