Friday, Friday & More Friday

Friday was an extremely packed day!! Since we were suppose to have bad weather, Mana did not have to be at school until 9:30 am. We went to Wal-Mart and picked up some trim for my table runner. I had ran out before I was finished sewing it. Then we went to the pharmacy to pick up her allergy medicine. Then to school. I headed to Hobby Lobby. I forgot I had only bought six napkins, so I had to pick up two more. Then I had to drive to my mom-in-law's house to pick up a placemate. Mrs. Millie rode with me. We went back to my house and finished up all the extra things for the tablescape. Around 1 pm, we finally were done and heading to the church to set up. The centerpiece was so big and awkward that Mrs. Millie had to sit in the back sit with the front sit pushed up as far as it would go. We made it there without any complications or breaking anything!! We sat up the table just in time to swing by my house and drop Mrs. Millie off for her car and for me to make it to car line on time! I went back to the church around 5 pm to get my boxes and to put finishing touches on the chairs! Now I am glad it is all set up and I can relax and enjoy the Women's Event in the morning!!!

Mana and I met Anggie and her daughter at McDonald's for supper. Then they came over for a little while. The girls put on a play they had made up while Anggie & I were talking. I am glad they got to come over. It has been a while since they came the last time!

Hair Cut, Programs & Ballet

Thursday was a fun packed day! I went and got my hair cut. Went to do some shopping and I got the Women's Ministry event programs done! Jamie proofed them and I had not one correction!!!!! That is a first!!! When it was time for me to pick up Mana, Debbie and Rebecca stepped in and finished the programs for me by folding, stuffing and stapling them. That afternoon, Mana had ballet. They had their Christmas program. Her class did three pieces. They did a wonderful job!

Niece, Preschool Program, & Pineapple

Tuesday I went to see one of my adorable nieces in her preschool program. All the kids were really cute all dressed up in their costumes. They were so fun to watch! There was one little boy sitting behind me that would take his mom's camera and walk down the aisle and pretend to take a picture of his sister. It was cute! He also liked to wave and yell her name so she would look at him.

I went out to eat at Jason's Deli with my Sis-in-law, her parents, and my niece after the program. I got the chicken salad on a croissant. I took one bite into it and noticed it had pineapple in it. Yuck! I like pineapple, just not in my chicken salad. Especially when I was not expecting it!

The Letter

We got the letter today. Mana did not get a part in the play she auditioned for last Saturday. She took it well. She was just happy that she got to audition and got a callback. I was the one that was sad. I really wanted her to get a part! It would have been her first one that she auditioned for. It would have been good for her to go through the long practice schedule and several performances to see what it is like to be in a professional performance. I am just glad she took the news like it didn't even phase her!! We will look on the bright side now.....she is excited that she gets to go to her cousin's birthday party this weekend instead of a read through!! I am excited that I get to go to my church's Women's Mad Hatter Tea Party this weekend, especially after all the hard work that Millie & I have put in on the tablescape! The weekend will not be as stressful!

Shopping, Believing & Art Class

I went to Wal-Mart today to pick up some last minute things for Mana's Christmas. I am done now! I ordered Brian's online, so I am done with his also! Now it is time for wrapping! Mana loves to help wrap presents!

I pick up one of my art students from school on Mondays because he's mom works. Today in the car, Mana asked me the dreaded question that I have managed to keep from answering for several months now. I squeaked by probably for the last time. The "Is Santa real, Mom?" question. All the kids in her class are telling her the parents put the presents under the tree. This was and has been my answer..."What do YOU think honey?" "He is real!", she said. "If you believe in him, he will come visit your house. When you stop believing, he will not!", I would say. That seems to be ok with her for the time being. I have a feeling this is our last year of Believing! :( Oh, and the Tooth Fairy and Easter Bunny is in on that conversation also! I have been worried about the day when she does not believe because the day she found out at school that animals do not go to Heaven was tragic! She got mad because I had told her that her pet gold fish "Goldie" was not feeling well and we had to flush her down the toilet like Nemo so she could live in the ocean and get better! I never did tell her animals go to Heaven, but I did not say they didn't either. It doesn't seem that she will get mad at me, but we will see.

I had three for art this afternoon. C.J. almost finished his painting. He did very well I think. Brittany got a good amount done on her painting. Since Rebecca was done last week with hers, I recruited her to help me paint scripture verses on the tablescape plates! She is a great backwards writer. You have to paint backwards on the bottom of the plates. It is not easy. She did a great job.

Closeup # 3 was...

Not much to say today. Went to Church. Went to a Women's Ministry meeting. Went home and worked on the tablescape. I found out today that I like making things in clay as long as I do not have to make it look like a specific character!!! I am not very good at that!!!

Auditions, Ballerinas, & the Santa Cow

I couldn't have scheduled out this day as great as it turned out, if I tried. Mana had her audition this morning at 10:30 am. We got there about thirty minutes early and we saw a Christmas parade. Then we went in and filled out paperwork for her audition. We had no idea they were having a parade. Plus the Chick-fil-A Santa Cow was there. Mana comes out of her audition with a callback. We had to come back around 2 pm. We went to the mall to eat and take up some time. We walked into Books-A-Million and a ballet company was performing some pieces from the Nutcracker and also reading the book to the children. Mana loved it. I bought her the Nutcracker book and all the dancers signed it. They took her picture with all the characters several times. She thought that was the best! I will glue the pictures into her signed book! We then went to eat Chick-Fil-A and the Santa Cow was there also! The line for Santa Claus was to long for the time we had so we opted out of that. We got back to the callback audition and I sat in the car talking to Anggie on the phone and looking at magazines until 3:30 pm. We will not know anything until Wednesday by 8 pm! Now we are home. We are going to start on some more clay figurines!
