How Many?

How many Tammys does it take to change a light bulb? Well.....this morning, the answer would have been TWO! My day started off with me dropping a light bulb I was changing in the bathroom. It slipped right out of my hands. I needed that extra pair of hands to catch it. Oh well! It resulted in a fabulous picture, don't you think?! LOL!

I actually got a lot accomplished today. I have been needing to adjusts some pictures so I could give a cd to the school for the yearbook and for my own personal scrapbooking layouts. I managed to get 3/4 of the December pictures adjusted. Those that know me, know that I take a HUGE amount of pictures. In fact, a dear friend of mine, Anggie C., diagnosed me with OPD (Obsessive Photography Disorder), after she saw how many pictures of Mana (in a similar pose) I could glue to one layout. It has been an on going joke between us for a while now! I know I will have at least one picture I like by taking so many photographs.

I decided to google this "disorder" to see if anyone else out there suffers from it. You never know these days what you will find out there on the world wide web. I did find this lovely blog about obsessive complusive blogging disorder.
It may not be just about photography, but I see a lot of similarities. I think my Sister-in-laws will agree! (Since it is now a on going joke that if we go somewhere, I will be taking a picture - Like a sunset out the sunroof of the vehicle!!!)

So happy blogging and photographing to all the compulsive disorder people out there like me!

Back to school, TV & Packing Up

Mana went back to school today. All the other schools go back in the morning. She got out a day early. She did well today and did not have to call me to bring her the inhaler. Maybe we have it under control now. I hope so. Her coughing sounded so bad the last two weeks. She only did the hacking cough a few times after school. You could tell we will have a few days to get readjusted back into the school schedule. It was so hard getting up on time this morning. It was even harder to get her to pay attention while doing her homework! It took her until 6pm to get it all done. It never takes her that long.

It is late and I am just doing nothing. O.K. I am half way watching a cake decorating show on tv and trying not to fall asleep. I have no idea why.

Looking at the boxes in my living room....
How could I have packed up the Christmas decorations in five boxes when they came out of three? I am a terrible packer!

Time to get some sleep!!!!!ZZZZZZZ

Ornaments, Runner & Placemats!

Mana and I went to Wal-Mart to get her lunch supplies to start back to school in the morning. It has gone by so fast. I can say I enjoyed my daughter being out of school and my husband off of work for two whole weeks. I am ready to go back to normal life, with a few changes of course! Those of you that know me well, know that you will probably never see me without a Dr. Pepper in my hand. I bought the small cans this time. That way I can still have some Dr. Pepper. Just less! We shall see how that works out. The other day, I overheard that the Christmas decor was going on sale for 75% off Saturday. (Yesterday!) I went through that area and found some great buys. I never go after Christmas shopping. Always wanted to. Usually I do not have the money. I could not pass up some of the decorations and things that I had been wanting. I found some of those big ornaments for $1.25 a box. I bought some to make a decoration for the mailbox next year. (I saw one online I loved!) Then I got some that would be perfect for putting an extra sparkle in the bathroom next season. Then I went down the aisle that had the tableware on it. I found a snowflake runner, eight red placemats, and six red glasses that were great for the next tablescape event. I would like to find two more. I will look at my Wal-Mart in the morning. I felt bad spending money on Christmas decorations when it was now January. I could not pass up those glasses for .50 a piece.

Brakes, Bedtime Stories & Scene It!

Brian worked on the brakes on his truck most of the day.
We went to see the movie "Bedtime Stories" at 4pm. It was a really good movie. Mana has been wanting to go see "Bolt". Brian and I wanted to see the other. We out numbered her 2 to 1. I know that sounds awful, but Mana wanted to see that one also. I told her that we would get "Bolt" when it came out on DVD and have a friend over to watch it with us. We came out of the movies and we were meet with lots of rain. Last time the three of us went to the movies, it was raining when we came out. We went to the mall on the way home. We went into Books-A-Million to return one of Mana's books she got for Christmas. (I did not know she had already read it) Brian also got a gift card for Christmas. We ate at Chick-fil-a. (My fav!) We then stopped by Auto Zone to get something else for Brian for his truck he needed. Now we are going to sit down and play Disney Channel Scene It.

Mana won DC Scene It. Every time we played this past two weeks, she won. Of course, she is the one watching most of the Disney Channel! I think I prefer the other two Scene It games she has. I can at least keep up with her on the board!

New Year's Resolutions

Since it seems everyone is blogging their New Year's Resolutions.....
There are a few things I would like to work on!

1. Become closer to God!
I can not be all that God wants me to be, unless I get into His Word more!!
2. Get organized!
I have to much clutter! Waaaaaaaaaay to much clutter!
3. Spend more quality time with my Daughter!
Sadly, I have been letting a bunch of other stuff get in the way of my time with her!
4. Have a few get-togethers at my house with my friends!
Can not happen until #2 happens!!
As you can tell by the sidebar of my blog, I am doing research on fabulous party ideas!
5. Scrapbook More!!
Mana is only 1 year old in scrapbook years!
Sad, but true!

Of course, there is the usual...Lose Weigh, etc. that I have failed miserably at the past 15 years!!! That is why I am not putting it down this year! I will try, and that is all I can do!

So there you have it, my New Year's Resolutions!

Fireworks

Haven't had much to write about lately. We have just been sitting around the house, watching movies, playing games. That kind of thing. We did shoot fireworks tonight. It was really cold, and I was ready to go inside. The pictures are not that great. At least I got a few interesting ones.
