Last Day of School

Mana has been out of school since the fourteenth. I am enjoying her being off. It has thrown me and any kind of a schedule for a loop. I (and Mana) are going to bed between 11 pm and 2 am and sleeping until noon. I have very unproductive days this way! I did manage to get Mana in bed at 10 pm tonight because I needed to do my work and get up early in the morning to finish the work!!

For her last day of school, they had a luau party. They had a great time as you can see from the pictures. Mrs. Natalie made the kids do a hula dance to get their surprise goody bag! That was funny and they were all good sports about it.

Camper

I just mailed off the last payment on the camper!!! Yeah!! One more thing on the list paid off! Now for the car!!!!

Mother's Day

I had a wonderful Mother's Day! My daughter woke up before me and put pillows all over the living room. (To make a comfy sitting place) Then see put a note on a pillow that she loves me and Happy Mother's Day. She asked me to not get out of bed yet. My Aunt called to wish me a great day! It was good to hear from her! Then my daughter said I could come into the living room. She asked me to sit down in my chair. She put a Best Mom ribbon on me that she made out of paper. Then she paraded around the living room with different notes like "I love you", "Your the Best", and things like that. She then sang me a song! She went into the kitchen and poured me some cereal and brought it to me. She was so sweet!!

I started getting ready to go to GranMary's house for lunch and there was a knock at the door. It was my neighbor's boy from up the road. He had brought me a carnation! How sweet!

We went to GranMary's house and ate. Then all the kids played with bubbles and chalk since it was raining some. We had a good day!

Heart Break

I have given in to Mana with the "I want a puppy!" after a long year of begging. Brian wanted a westie. We found a lady to get one from. I emailed her to see if she had any the same day her dog had the puppies. What great timing. We got on the list first! Mana has been so excited!! It is all she has talked about for a whole week. Her teacher said she told her atleast 20 times. She has even been reading a dog training book and telling me everything it said. I have not seen her this excited ever!!

Today, I received an email that the puppies did not make it. The mom had an infection and passed it onto the puppies in the milk. The mom may not even get better because she is upset about her puppies being gone. It doesn't look good. I really hate that I have to tell Mana when I pick her up today that her puppy did not make it. :(

Disappointed in myself

My brain sometimes does not make a connection it needs to. My daughter had her awards program this morning at school. I remember getting the note home about it. I remember, now, talking about it in car line yesterday. I was concentrating on two projects I have to get done today. Getting my friend's camera for pre-prom pictures tonight and doing and finishing the ballet programs TODAY!! My brain NEVER went to today is awards day and you need to be at her school to watch your child get three awards! (Which I did not know about at all!) Yes, I have no excuse! I should have remembered and should have been there. Yes, I have been crying the last hour because the thought never crossed my mind today! I am very upset! I never miss anything my daughter is doing, ever!! I know that she will be ok. I know that it happens. I am always hard on myself. It will be awhile until I let myself forget this one. I just don't understand how I can forget so many things!

Game Night & Youth Rally

I have been trying to take it easy lately. I went to the doctor the other week for chest pains. No heart problems!! I am having anxiety attacks. I get myself all stressed out about everything. I just need a trip to the beach with the girls or something!!

I went to Game night and a Youth Rally at my church Friday night. Game night is always a lot of fun! We laugh so much! It is a great stress reliever!! The Youth Rally was great to be a part of! Considering I do not have a child in the student group yet, I do not go to many youth activities. Our student drama group did a performance. They did a great job! Our Ballet performance group also did a performance piece. They were wonderful!! I can not wait to see them perform the other pieces they have been working so hard on this year in the Ballet performance on May 16th!! I took a lot of pictures that night. I just had to play around with them in Photoshop!!
