Our Christmas!

Mana woke up at 4 am! I told her she would have to go back to bed. After all, we didn't go to bed until midnight! She came in our room at least every 20 minutes until 6:30 am, in which I decided to wake up Brian to see what Santa left. We all opened our presents. Mana got to play with her presents. We then got ready to go to GranMary & Paw Paw's house for lunch!

Christmas Eve

As soon as we got home from Grandma Dell's, Mana had to start painting. Every year, Mana makes something for every family. This year I have been a little out of sorts. I have been really unorganized and didn't get everything done in a timely manner. I usually buy Mana a Christmas dress and take her Christmas pictures. (Did not do that!) No Santa picture! (I know, I know! Bad Mommy!) So needless to say, we were a little behind on the craft projects! She painted refrigerator magnets for everyone this year. She got them done and we wrapped them up to go the next day! She wanted to make homemade cookies for Santa this year. We didn't do that either. She got over all of this easily. Brian is off work for two weeks, so I think she is just excited that she gets to see her Daddy all day, every day!! Nothing else really matters that much. Each year, we open one present on Christmas eve. We did the same this year. Then Mana got ready for bed, which included setting out Santa's cookies, & making reindeer food. She even made the reindeer and Santa each a necklace out of stickers and ribbon.

December 24 (Day)

On December 24th, we went to Grandma Dell's house. (My Mom's Mother) She is the best cook ever!!! We had all my favorites, but the Banana Pudding! There was Chicken and Dressing, macaroni & cheese, black-eyed peas, okra, creamed corn, cornbread, and different specialty candies. My niece was still attacking my husband. Hee Hee! The girls opened their presents. Mana got the Pictureka game. My brother-in-law had to work late, so he didn't get there until after lunch and present time. Usually, it is Brian working late. So that was different. We sat down and played the game. It was hard to find everything on the boards. It was fun! The girls seemed to enjoy playing it.

December 23 - Part 2

After the Grandparent's house, we went to my Dad's house. It was pretty late. We opened presents and stayed and talked a little while. Dad & Mrs. Jean got Mana the Nintendo DS Bolt game. That game was one of her top picks on the Santa list! Mrs. Jean has one of the prettiest angels on her mantel. It changes colors. We got back to my Sister's house really late. I tried sleeping on one of those blow up mattress. I ended up on the really comfy couch, because when I got to the side of the mattress, I would roll off. It was funny!

December 23

On Tuesday night, we went to my Grandma & Grandpa Cole's house. The house is filled with lots of kids. I do not get to see my Grandparents, Aunt, Uncle and cousins very much. In the picture below, Mana is playing with my Aunt Bec. (Favorite & Only 1st Aunt I have!) The wooden fruit has been played with by every grandchild that has come in the doors. I played with them when I was little! They are the main source of entertainment at their house. That and a plastic cup and pitcher set. Does not take much to keep us occupied. Grandma had a fountain of Hawaiian Punch set up that all the kids loved to continually drink out of. That is why they all had red mustaches all night! Very Festive! The kids had a great time playing Santa and handing out the presents. The best part was opening what they handed out, of couse! My niece loves Brian, as you can see below. She attacked him consistently during the awake hours.

Builder, Shopping & a Night Out!!!!!!

I got the Builder done on Monday! It worked out great! Mana and her Daddy went shopping for my Christmas presents while I went to the church and worked. They were so sweet and brought me lunch and a bag of circus peanuts! The circus peanuts were to go in my stocking, but Mana said I needed them right then! Brian came in and said he was tired of my mouth. (I was wondering what he was talking about because I have been good here lately!) Mana had told him all day that he should have been better at filling my stocking for Christmas. (I have only had my stocking filled one Christmas since Mana was born!) Brian does not believe me on that fact! I tell Mana that it is the parents job to fill the adult stockings for each other. Santa doesn't to that. That is what I had to tell her since mine was never filled and Brian's was. I wasn't going to let her think I was on the naughty list. When they got back from shopping, Brian and Mana went into the bedroom and wrapped my presents. They kept coming out with them. I must have at least 8 or nine! After presents were wrapped, we went to drop Mana off at GranMary & Paw Paw's house for a spent the night cookie party with her cousins! They do that every year. Brian took me out to Logan's Roadhouse. (Where we saw Shawn.) Then we went to see "Seven Pounds". It was a good movie. All I will say, is I have never left a movie feeling the way I did.
