Graduations

First of all....Congratulations to all the graduates out there!!!

Mana and I went to Maranda's graduation party tonight. I was the official photographer. It was a lot of fun taking all the pictures. Behind the camera is my favorite place to be!! Mrs. Cindy and lots of other ladies that helped out did a wonderful job of putting everything together for Maranda. They decorated the room really pretty and they had great food! Best yet, Maranda had a lovely grin on her face that shined all night. You could tell she was having fun! Mana acted very grown up. She found herself several people to carry on long decisions with. (Mostly about her future new puppy.) She said she enjoyed herself.

Memorial Day Celebration

I know that today is actually Memorial Day. Our family celebrated it yesterday since my hubby had to go to work today. Last year, we had our first family games. We won the trophy. We were looking forward to defending our title this year!! It was suppose to rain, so the games were canceled. Maybe next year!! We will be practicing! LOL!! We had hot dogs, cheeseburgers, pork and beans, chips, apple pie, and good homemade ice cream!! The kids played in the driveway with the football, bubbles and all kinds of other things. We all had a great time!! It only sprinkled for a very short while. I hope everyone has a great Memorial Day!!!

RK's Puppy

The night before, my niece called Mana all excited that she got a new puppy. She named her Montana from Hannah Montana. She is a Golden Retriever. She was a rescue dog! She is so calm and has the cutest face. Mana was happy for RK, but was really ready for her own puppy to be born and the six weeks of waiting to be over with.

Checkers

When I was little, my dad and grandfather use to play checkers every time they got together. My dad is really great at checkers. Mana has been playing checkers on Webkins to practice. My dad and Jean came by on their way through town. Mana decided that she was ready to play my dad in checkers. She invited him into a challenge as soon as he got out of the truck. Dad won one. Mana won one.

Ballet Performance Day

Ballet Performance

This day turned out to be a really good day, besides the way it started out. I stayed up until 2:30 am making sure the house was clean for my sister and my nieces to spend the night. I woke up to finish the last things on the house like mopping and dusting. It was a rainy day. Costumes, makeup and rain do not mix well. I was worried. My sister called after getting on the road for the drive up and got caught in a traffic jam for a long time. Then hit another one closer in. We didn't know if she would make it in time. Mana's class was on third. My dad decided not to try the trip. They were running late and by the time they would make it through the traffic, Mana's performance would be over. Mana and I left for the church. My sister, nieces, grandparents, aunt, uncles and nephews all showed up soon afterwards. Sitting was much better this year because the younger classes had their own performance earlier that day. After the performance (which was wonderful), we went down stairs for the reception. Then the whole family went to Niki's eat. Jen and the girls came back to the house with us and spent the night. The girls had a great time together. They do not get to come up very often.

Ballet Rehearsals

Yes, I am really behind on the blog!!

Ballet rehearsals were May 14th. I thought it went well. This is Mana's fifth year to be in ballet. She got to wear her Daddy's favorite color this year. Here are some of the pictures that I took.
