Chipped

Ever since I got my new camera I have wanted to take pictures of the stain glass in my church's sanctuary. The windows are absolutely beautiful! I finally had time to take some. When I started to look at the windows closely I found out that they are not perfect pieces of glass. If you saw an individual piece of this glass on the sidewalk you probably wouldn't even pick it up. It had bubbles, scratches and places that were chipped and cracked. Just like us. We have situations and events in our lives that has chipped away at us and has in one way or another shaped us into the individuals we are today. Some good and some not so good. The great part is when God's light shines through us, others see His Beauty, His Grace! Not us! Not our insecurities! Just like the glass, the light shines through all those individual pieces and it is magnificent!

That is awesome. I love the pics and the thoughts to go along with it. I'll never look at those wondows the sameway again. I've never been a fan of them myself. I always thought they blocked us from the outside world. (Kind of like a casino) making us forget there's a world outside these walls. But your thoughts on them were moving. Thanks!
